Messages From Spirit: The Homeless Man
Recently I was out having dinner with a group of friends in a wonderful downtown Seattle restaurant. Everyone was laughing and having a great time, and out of the corner of my eye, I see a homeless man just outside the window in front of me. He was leaning against the building, just watching the people go by.
It took me a moment to realize that he was actually a spirit, he looked so clear standing there. He was a very weathered looking man, I’m guessing around his late forties. He had long, wild brown hair with lots of gray mixed in, and a matching beard. He wore a large, bulky brown jacket that looked to be about three sizes too big for him, with worn out jeans and worn out old brown shoes.
As I watched him, I started to feel my teeth hurting on the lower left side, and I felt the sensation of those teeth missing and putting my tongue in the holes where the teeth once were. My entire jaw started to ache, he wanted me to know how bad his mouth had hurt him. I asked him what else he wanted me to know, and he responded, “oh not much. I am just watching people go by. No one sees me, it’s no different than when I was alive.” At this point, I am fighting back tears, that just broke my heart. This man had such a sweetness and gentleness about him. Then he let me know that just a little eye contact and a smile would have made a world of difference in his days.
Message received sir. Bless your heart.
